Lady Ume from Yoshicho (now Ningyocho) etablished Yoshiume in 1927.
In those days, Toro (the fatty tuna) was thrown away unlike nowadays.
The people of the downtown area started eating 'Negima (fatty tuna and spring onion) hot-pot.
Shotaro Ikenami, a famous writer; talked about the memory of his "the Negima hot-pot" in his collection of talks.
