Nihonbashi district, especially Ningyocho used to be a center of Edo (Tokyo in Edo period) and has flourished culturally and economically.
You will find the mixture of old and new, traditional and historical sightseeing spots (Suitengu shrine, Meijiza theatre etc.. ) as well as stylish business and residential building towers.
There are a lot of places to eat and drink, and many of them are reasonable!!! Try small historical dinners in the back alleys, new stylish bars and famous traditional restaurants and find your favorite ones! Some of the restaurants prepare only Japanese menu and the staff can only speak Japanese…
But, the people in Nihonbashi district (down town) are very friendly and like to take care of anybody around them!
Please enjoy not only delicious meals but also the communication with Nihonbashi people while feeling a Japanese tradition.
